Griffin was really exited for potions. No one knew this, but he was raised in a muglle environment and he loved to cook. He knew they weren't exactly the same thing, but he assumed that since he was good at cooking, he would be good at potions.
The potions classroom was kind of creepy, it was cold and darked and it smelled like roadkill after sitting out in the sun. The professor was pretty nice, but he kinda freaked Griffin out a little bit. Maybe it was because he was a little overly exited about boils.
He took notes on everything the professor said, but dissapointed when he discovered that they wouldn't be making the potion today. Just another quiz.
Quiz: 1) What does Boil Cure Potion do? um, it cures boils2) What are the ingredients?dried nettles, crushed snake fangs, stewed horned slugs, and porcupine quills.3) What are some of the things that can happen if the potion is not taken off the heat before adding the last ingredient? it can cause boils and burn holes in your shoes.4) What are the three skills that are important in potion-making? precision, timing and focus.5) What experience do you have with potion-making, of any? I come from a muggle family, so I have no experience.6) What kinds of potions are you interested in learning to make? I don't know any.Griffin got up, walked to the front of the room, and turned in his paper to the professor. He sat down and began reading chapter one, eager to learn how to make potions.RP grade: 10/10 Assignment grade: 10/10 Total: 20/20

Rose finally made it to the class, it took her forever to find. She swiftly slipped into an empty chair while the Professor turned his back to write something the the board. She let out a sigh of relief she had only missed the introduction. She looked around, there was everything there to make several different potions. She named a couple of the ingredients, from her books she read, that were laid out from show. She noticed everyone else was getting out parchment and a quill, so she quickly did. She wrote down everything off the board. She had read about this potion in this years potions book, she read over it before coming to class. When the Professor announced that they will not be making the Boil-cure potion this time she was a little sad, but was still determined to show how much she new on the quiz that Professor Slughorn was passing out. She read through the questions examining each and everyone of them before she answered them. The first 5 or so were easy they were all mentioned in his lecture. 1)What does Boil-Cure Potion do?Cures Boils like it names says. What are the ingredients?Dried Nettles, Crushed Snake Fang, Stewed Horned Slug, Porcupine QuillWhat are some of the things that can happen if the potion is not taken off heat before adding the last ingredient? The potion can backfire and cause you to have boils or it will burn holes in your shoesWhat are the 3 skills that are important in potion-making?Precision, Timing, and focusWhat experience do you have with potion making, if any?Well I've try to make up my own with random ingredients, bit non of them really did anything. My started buys me potions books when I started burning holes in the floor trying to make my own. I've managed to make simple potions but that it all. What kind of potions are you interested in learning to making?Rose wasn't sure what to put down, she had tons of different potions she wanted to learn how to make for her own reasons. The biggest reason she couldn't tell him, he would think poorly of her. She just like making people laugh, funny potions like the belching powder would surely get a couple of people laughing. She didn't see it as bullying since she wasn't picking on anyone. She also want to learn potions that will be useful like the Bruis-healing paste and the burn-healing paste, She was always burning herself and she bruises easily. So wasn't sure to write, she finally wrote down an answer. Every kind of potion, every potion has it own use and I love exploring the different uses. She read the answers over one more time to make sure she didn't make an common mistakes like spelling, which when she wrting quickly can sometimes happen. She was done she turned it in with great pride in her work. She sat back down and took out this years potions book, although she had already read through it a few times, she wanted the Professor to see that she was working hard in his class and rereading something never hurt. RP grade: 12/10 *Good detail, but watch those typos and tenses. Assignment grade: 10/10 Total: 22/20

Addison walked into the classroom, or rather dungeon, and shivered, it was freezing in there, drawing her coat closer to her she walked to the front and took a seat. A plump little man smiled at them, he was sweet, and reminded her of her grandpa, the way he joked but was still serious with them. She reached into her bag and took out parchment, a quill, an ink bottle and began scribbling what the profesor said. The lesson was simple just a few question, Addison prepared herself as Professor Slughorn receited them.
1) What does Boil Cure Potion do? As the name explains, it cures boils.
2) What are the ingredients? Dried Nettles, Crushed Snake Fangs, Stewed Horned Slugs, and Porcupine Quills.
3) What are some of the things that can happen if the potion is not taken off the heat before adding the last ingredient? It will cause boils to erupt on contact and can even go to the extreme of melting things.
4) What are the three skills that are important in potion-making? Precision, timing, and focus.
Addison looked down at the next question, should she lie, or just say that she knew absolutely nothing at all, thinking about it for a moment, she wrote down the truth.
1) What experience do you have with potion-making, of any? Potion making experience....none. But i've helped my grandmother cook before, if that means anything at all.
2) What kinds of potions are you interested in learning to make? Shrinking Potion, that could be extremely useful. Hair Raising Potion, i think that would just be fun to know how to make.
Addison smiled at her answers, hopefully they would get to make a shrinking potion, Rose could use some help with that. Putting back her quill and ink, walking up to the Professor's desk, she set down her answers and walked back, sitting down she cracked her knuckles before opening her book to page 3 and reading.
