Bridget followed Kaileena into her office and looked around. "Oh wow, it's so... charming~" She giggled at her own pun. "So, what charms can you teach me?" Bridget was excited, and it was obvious. She loved learning, loved this magic stuff, and loved what she knew about charms. Even better, she had a new friend. A new friend that would teach her charms! But first, she decided to put her books down. "Oh, where should I put these, first?"

((OOC: All right, aside from the computer being there, this is the perfect office. Ignore the comp. Haha.))Kaileena sat down in her chair, swivelling around to look at Bridget. She glanced around the office, looking for an open spot on her bookshelves. "Um...ooh. Here, I'll put them over here." She took the books from Bridget and set them down on a shelf then smiled warmly at her. She took the time to study her. What an interesting girl. She was pretty, that much was clear. Studious too. That was a huge bonus. She clapped her hands together and a chair materialized out of thin air, setting itself down right in front of Bridget. "Sit, sit. So. I figured we could start off with simple spells, like Lumos...um...ooh, Nox of course. Sonorus...Engorgio, Reducio... Hm...Goodness. So many spells." She giggled and took out a notepad and quill for her. "Here, we'll start off with writing them down, and then I'll teach you the movements and incantations, OK?"

Bridget smiled and handed over her books to the Professor, making a mental note of where they were among the mess of books in the office. Then yelped and nearly jumped out of her skin when a chair magically jumped out of nowhere. She wasn't used to magic just yet, and still thought it was strange. Taking a seat in the chair, carefully at first, not trusting it, she looked over at the teacher... or rather, her friend. She smiled again. Miss Kaileena has a nice smile... she thought. Then the Professor spoke again. She heard Lumos, Nox, Sonorus, Engorgio, and Reducio. Bidget was happy to recognize most of them.
"Well, I actually learned some of those in charms class already. Like Lumos and Nox. Light then no light. Engorgio, making things big, then Reducio the opposite." She felt proud of herself for not even needing her notes, remembering on her own. "I'm not familiar with Sonorus though. What's that?"

Leena blinked. Oh, so Gwen had gotten to that first. Of course she did. Good thing she hadn't gotten to--"Right! Sonorus. Well, basically, it makes your voice loud. Kind of like with a muggle bullhorn." Her smile softened. "We'll practice that one first, since it's easy. Also, while we're here, I can teach you about Defense Against the Dark Arts, since the two classes will overlap slightly. That way, you'll also be ahead in that class and get our House more points!" Her voice dropped with the last bit of information, as if she was afraid that someone was eavesdropping, but her tone was no less excited. Her bright eyes flashed with ecstasy and she beamed.
"So, shall we get to work?" She stood up, pulling out her wand and standing next to her. She showed her how to carry out the incantation, her voice booming in the office. "THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE, OK? I'M SO SORRY, HAHA. I'M NOT TRYING TO YELL, I--QUIETUS." She pointed the wand to her and cleared it, her voice returning to normal. She let out a small giggle and looked at her. "All right, your turn now."

Bridget recognized it and thought she'd seen it before. Then she realized that Dumbledore was using the spell at the Great Feast... she thought. She was even about to ask, when her ears started being assaulted by the Professor's talking. Her ears wereringing and she felt a little dizzy from the blast of her voice. Blinking it off, Bridget nodded, placed her wand under her chin, and mumbled, "Sonorus!" She didn't feel like it worked... until she realized she wasn't talking. "OH. HAH. FORGOT TO TALK. OHGODS. THIS IS LOUD. OH. HOW DO I STOP?" she flailed her empty hand. "I'M CURSED!" PAnicking, she looked at Kaileena.

Kaileena laughed, covering her ears. She winced slightly but kept laughing regardless. "The spell is 'Quietus'! Just point it at your throat like with Sonorus and say it clearly." She put her hands down and smiled brightly at her, her eyes sparkling with joy. "Ooh, that was a doozy. All right, we can choose to move on and practice more spells, we can keep practicing this one, or we can just sit and talk." She sat down in her chair again, crossing her legs. "It's up to you, dear."

Bridget muttered the anticharm and let out a puff of air as her wand descended from below her chin. "Oh, that was crazy..." She giggled softly. "Well, I don't know how much I'll use that spell." Smiling, she continued, "I don't really talk to others much." Thinking back, she realized she hadn't really talked to anyone yet. "Did you know you're my first friend here?" she sort of blurted out without thinking. Oh wait, oh crud. This is embarrassing. She'll think I'm a loser! Ugh. Then Bridget sighed. The damage was done, afterall.

Kaileena's eyes widened then immediately softened. Bridget saw her as her best friend? That was just so...sweet! She smiled warmly. So what if she was ten years the girl's superior? When had age ever stopped her? She had friends that were at least 30 years older than her. But...something about Bridget told her she didn't mind being friends with her either. Perhaps even best friends. She leaned forward, smiling, to tell her she felt the same, when an owl flew through the window, hooting wildly and flapping its wings. It landed between them on the desk, making Leena cry out in surprise. "Oh, my," she said, immediately recognizing the owl, "Oh, Bridget...I am so sorry. I'll have to be excused right now. Could you please give me a few minutes by myself?" She smiled at her, but it didn't quite reach her eyes and the light in them was gone.

Bridget looked at her in shock. Why would she get sent away from an owl? And why the empty smile? Bridget couldn't help but feel rejected, but put on her best attitude and said, "Okay Professor..." sadly. Obviously hurt, she sadly walked out of the professor's office. She reached for a book before realizing she left them in the Professor's office, bumming her out more. I need a book... she thought to herself, wanting to just ignore life. Thus, she began walking to the library.

The letter dropped out of Kaileena's hands, falling to the floor. Harrison was...dead? He couldn't be! He was only 24, he had his whole life ahead of him! Oh god...
"Why?" A dry sob escaped her lips and she covered her mouth. Hot tears flowed down her face and she stood up, walking around her desk to get the letter again. As she re-read the letter, she sank to the floor. Out of all the things... Hit by a train? It just seemed too horrifying to be true. She let out a shuddering breath, sobbing for her late brother. Burying her face in the crook of her arm, she cried out in anguish, shaking and sobbing uncontrollably.

Not knowing where else to go, or anyone else to go to, Bridget found herself in front of Professor Lovegood's office. She tried to keep cool, but found herself crying by the time she arrived. Not knowing for sure whether she wanted any help, she was used to crying herself out, she knew that she had no room to herself anymore. After a few minutes of crying and thinking, she decided to knock on the door to Kaileena's office, with a tears sliding down her soft cheeks. Bridget hoped the Professor was in.

Leena hiccuped, gasping for air as she sobbed. She was in the process of inhaling to let out a heart-wrenching scream when she heard knocking. She choked, popping her head up to look at the door. She wiped her eyes hurriedly, jumping off of the floor. Grabbing the letter and folding it, she stuffed it in one of the drawers of her desk and bustled over to her chair, plopping down on it. She grabbed a tissue and dabbed at her eyes then blew her nose into it and threw it away. She smiled, hoping dearly that she didn't appear to be weepy and pathetic and took a deep breath to stabilize her voice. "Come in, the door's unlocked!"

Bridget slowly opened the door and walked in, closing the door behind her. She had tears still steadily going down her face and muttered, "I... I f-f-feel... heartbr-broken...." Then she walked over and wrapped her arms around the professor, burying her face in the professor's shoulder, just needing somewhere to cry and hoping she wasn't overstepping her boundaries.

Leena blinked, her eyes widening slightly when Bridget wrapped her arms around her. Slowly, she wrapped her arms around the crying girl in return, biting her lip to keep from bursting into tears again. The last thing she needed was a weepy professor on top of what happened. Pushing her own troubles aside, she patted Bridget's back gently, rubbing it at the same time in a comforting way."There, there... What happened? She pulled the girl back a little and smiled warmly at her, wiping her eyes. "How about I get you some chocolate, put on some soothing music, and you tell me who made you cry." As she spoke, she opened one of her drawers expertly while maintaining her gaze on Bridget. She handed a Swedish chocolate bar to her, hoping that this would at least cheer her up a little.

Bridget smiled and nodded at the Professor. She let out a small giggle when she saw the professor biting her lip. "I bite... my lip too..." she said between sobs.
Her mood also elevated when she was handed a chocolate bar. A chocolate bar like the chocolates she received earlier. She actually held up a finger for a second as she ate a piece of the chocolate. Sighing, she was feeling way better already, her tears coming less frequently than before. "W-well.... this boy... he acted like he liked me..." she started. "And I've never really... well, been acknowledged by a boy, right...? So I was excited... only to find out he's actually interested in... a boy... ad he's been hitting on two other girls...." She sighed and cried a few more tears. "I wonder how many else there were.... I just... I felt special... but I'm not..." She looked at the Professor sadly and then buried her face in her shoulder again.
