Professor Apharius whisked into the room in her usual manner, her pastel purple robes flowing behind her. “Welcome, my di-ni a-yu-le, my children!!!! Today is your practical lesson for numerology. I don’t believe I have to explain this to you, but I will anyway. What you’re going to do today is figure out what your personal number is, three traits that correspond to that number, and you’ll turn your parchment in to me. If you need any help, let me know. The extra credit will be to figure out your Soul Urge number, as well as your Inner Dream number. If you decide to do this, please PM me with your results. You may begin…now.” And with that, she fluttered into her seat in the front of the room and poured herself some tea.

Great. Just great. Back in the class he least enjoyed. But still, he had work to do. As he pulled out his notes from the lesson, he began writing down his full name:
Dastan Cross
Then, he wrote down the chart from before. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z
According to that, his name was: 4+1+1+2+1+5+ 3+9+6+1+1= 34 --> 3+ 4= 7
So his number was 7 was it? Hm...Quickly flipping through his book, he found the traits corresponding to the number 7: -Investigation -Analysis -Consciousness
Dastan laughed aloud. He couldn't stop himself. Him? Hardly. This was bogus. Absolute bogus. He didn't know why he even bothered with such nonsense, to be entirely honest. It was so wrong that it was almost laughable. Snickering to himself, he turned to Eirwyn with a smirk.
He was just about to tell her about his stupid number and ask her what she got when he stopped himself, realizing with surprise that he was actually smiling and laughing about something without it being cruel or about his future goals. It was a new feeling.
Sitting in surprised silence for a few more moments, Dastan shook his head. He had to stop letting his guard down. He would never make it to his goals if he kept on losing his grip on himself like this. He managed to keep his cool exterior most of the time, especially when meeting a person for the first time. But the second he spoke to someone more than once, he felt his control begin slipping away and genuine like would begin taking its place. It was weird, and definitely wouldn't do. He needed to get better at self-control.
Nodding to himself, he stood and turned his parchment into Professor Redrush. He felt no need to do any of the extra credit; it would take more effort than he was willing to exert.
