"Well, I didn't really know my parents too well. They were killed when I was a kid during the war with Grindelwald. I was an only child, so I didn't really have any sibling to kind of mix with and ended up being raised by my uptight grandparents. They're pureblooded and quite arrogant about the fact. Luckily, they follow the Light. They swear they're nothing like the Dark-aligned scum, but honestly? They think about blood purity about the same as those so-called Dark-aligned scum. Still, they're good people most of the time. They just get so...tiresome after a while. I'm too wild for them or something."
As Gage spoke, Christian led her into Zonko's. He frowned as he listened to her story and he felt anger and sadness welling up from inside him. How could anyone treat such a beautiful young lady with any less respect than she needed and earned? He had a deep loathing for pureblood families. He had yet to meet one that wasn't a complete bitch to society. He nodded at her in acknowledgement, pursing his lips so he wouldn't say anything stupid. He turned and his eyes lit up when he saw joke wands. "Oh, man...these would be excellent for Petersen at work. That git could use an ego deflation." He grinned and picked up two of them then turned to look at Gage. He waved her over and began looking through the aisles full of toys and gag gifts, feeling his recent anger melting away.
"Oh, get whatever you like from here. It's all on me."He smiled at her and took her hand, interlacing their fingers together.

"Ah a gentleman!" she said, quirking an eyebrow playfully at him before taking the hand and pressing herself close to him. It was just close enough to give him pause without being all demanding and whore-ish. This sort of tease was something she'd perfected as an Auror doing undercover work. Little known fact: men become suspicious of women that throw themselves at them too much, or else they think them too stupid to tell them anything interesting. If they thought that someone was just shy of being slutty, and had a seriousness about them, then the man would likely tell them more in order to impress them.
Luckily, though, Christian wasn't a target for her to gather her information from. He was someone she had a very real interest in. It was just an added bonus that he was privy to information that she no longer had access to now that she wasn't an Auror. Thus, her skills were not being wasted on someone gross and not worth her time. She wanted this one on a very real level.

Christian blushed faintly as he felt her press herself against him. Don't think bad thoughts, don't think bad thoughts, don't think bad thoughts... He laughed nervously and nodded quickly, looking down. He subtly pried himself away from her, their only connection being their hands. He glanced back and looked at her, eyes glittering with gratitude and excitement. "Thanks. My mother, bless her heart, raised me well." He blinked and his eyes widened slightly. Had he spoken too soon about his parents? Damn it, way to go. Now she probably thinks you're an insensitive jerk. He laughed once again and turned back around to keep walking but he collided with a large man walking by, making him rebound and crash into Gage before falling down.
Christian cried out in surprise and pain then blushed from embarrassment. Wonderful, just wonderful. He was ruining the date. He popped up to his feet, closing his right hand into a fist and hiding it behind him so she wouldn't see he was bleeding. "Haha! Clumsy me. Sorry! Do you wanna go--wanna go outside where it's not so crowded?" He laughed again, rubbing the back of his head with his left hand. The man he had bumped into glowered and flipped him off before walking away, leaving them there alone in the shop.

Gage laughed. Hard. She couldn't help it. He was so nervous! It made her like him even more. And it also meant she was doing her job well as a woman. A girl should always make her man a nervous wreck.
Wait. When did he become her guy?She shook her head and smiled to clear her strange thoughts. Then she caught sight of how he was hiding his hand. Knowing men and their injuries, Gage rolled her eyes.
"You know, pride is a big thing for Gryffindors. But Hufflepuffs? I never would've thought," she said before moving forward and grabbing his right hand. She forced it open and pulled out her wand as she saw the little bleeding cut. "Idiot," she muttered then cast a quick healing spell. By now, healing was second-nature. She could cast advanced spells without even saying the incantation. "Now, what say we get out of here?" she said, taking his hand in hers once more and grinning brightly up at him.

Christian groaned internally and fought not to roll his eyes. He hated that someone else had to take care of him. Still...eh, Gage was OK. He glanced over at the large man, who was still glaring at him. He cringed slightly and looked back at her, smiling when she finally healed his hand. Even if he didn't like being taken care of, having a healer at hand with him was really...well, handy. He took a step closer, narrowing the distance between them and looked down at her with sparkling eyes. "I think getting out of here sounds great. Where do you want to go, milady?"

"Let's just go walking," she said, moving towards the entrance of the shop. "Maybe we could sit and talk some more about the stars, or we could have a quick sparring session to pass the time. Your choice."
Still clutching tightly at his hand, she caught sight of the man that had knocked Christian down glaring at them. Hm. Without a second's notice, she moved to one of the most ridiculously loud set of wizarding fireworks and used her wand to set them off next to the man. Immediately, the bang caused the entire store to freak out and run everywhere.
"Who did that!?" called one of the Zonko's employees.
"It was that man, sir!" Gage cried, glaring at him and looking the perfect picture of a victim. "My ears will be ringing for the next month! C'mon. Let's get out of this shop. I can't believe men like that shop here! Not even paying for the merchandise," she huffed, then stomped out of the store.
Once outside, Gage stopped and laughed aloud. "How was my acting?" she asked, grinning.
