Addison had been wandering around school with nothing to do all day. She had stopped by some of her professor's offices, but most were busy or just no where to be found. She noticed Amancio's office door was slightly open, Addison pushed it open further and poked her head in, she could see him bent over some papers. She felt stupid just standing there, so she walked in and closed the door slowly so she wouldn't disturb him. Once inside she looked around, the room resembled his greenhouse, it was nice and cool and very green, plants decorated almost every inch of it. Walking over to a pot, she smelled the plant and gagged. Slowly she walked up to Amancio's desk, "Professor? Sorry to bother you, it's just, plants, they're so....confusing." Addison smacked herself internally, that had to be the stupidest thing anyone had ever told him. She looked down at him, he seriously had to be the hottest teacher here, his long hair, his eyes, his arms, oh god, shut up, shut up right now brain!

Amancio looked up from his paperwork to see one of his students. Addison Bell, if he remembered correctly. The urge to stand was strong, but he ignored his instincts and resisted it.
"Oh, Miss Bell." He smiled charmingly and gestured to the seat across from him. "Sit, sit. I'm only here to be bothered." He set his pen on the desk and crossed his hands. "What can I help you with?"
He wasn't prone to being particularly outgoing, but helpful he could do. Helpful was easy and came natural, even when he didn't like people. He'd never had any issues with that, so he didn't hesitate to offer his assistance. Caring was the easy part of his job; it was practically his entire job.

Addison took a deep breath as he spoke to her, her heart fluttered as he said her name. She took a seat where he had pointed, breathing deeply to calm herself. It wasn't fair that he was so good looking, teachers should only be allowed to be plump and old.
"Well you see, I was sitting in the dorm the other day, flipping through the Herbology book, and I just couldn't figure out what a Mandrake does, I've read it and read it, but it won't register." She smiled sweetly at him and batted her eyelashes.
She had to remind herself that he was older than her and a teacher, she could already see the fantasies developing in her mind, she shook her head slightly trying to clear her head, so she could actually listen to what Amancio was saying.

Addison smiled. Mandrakes were easy to explain.
"A mandrake is a plant with roots that look like a child," he said. "When you pull them out of the soil, their cries can be fatal; even when they're young, they can knock out fully grown humans for a few hours." He paused, thinking. Was there anything else of note? "Their roots are used in restorative draughts. Other than that, I don't believe they serve any purpose." The calm, confident smile spread across his face again. He wished briefly and vaguely that every conversation was as easy as explaining plants.
"We'll be going over them in class soon enough," he added. He had to finish checking the earmuffs for safety and allowing the mandrakes to mature enough to be repotted, first. "Was there anything else?"

Addison listened intently, nodding as though she understood, but she really didn't care much about plants, of course, Professor Amancio didn't have to know that. She would have kept the plant conversation going, but truth was, she didn't want to seem stupid, Mandrakes were simple plants, she should have thought of something better. Sighing she put her hands on her lap and played with her fingers.
Finally looking up, she gave Amancio a half smile, "Okay, truth is, i've been bored all day and have had absolutely nothing to do. Everyone seems to have evaporated, so I was just walking around when I noticed your office door open. I didn't think you'd be in here, but you were, so I had to make some excuse for coming in."
Addison gave him a shy smile, feeling stupider by the minute, she didn't want to go, she had nothing to do, but she just felt dumb staying there. "I should probably go...I don't want to bother you." She got up out of her seat and slowly gathered her things.

Amancio held out a hand. "If you want to stay, you can. It's not a crime to talk to your professors. You know where our offices are for a reason," he pointed out. He smiled wryly. "Although if you are that bored, I'm sure there is plenty of studying to be done. However, if, as I'm sure is the case, you would rather not, you are free to stay. I can't say that I'm much company, though."
That said and his position made, he picked his quill back up. If she wanted to stay, that was her choice; he wasn't going to force her. He didn't particularly care either way. He appreciated the company, but if she left, he did have work to do. He was also aware how it looked to have a female student in his office, especially with the door closed. He glanced up at it. In fact, just in case...
He muttered a quick incantation at the door, and it swung open gracefully. At least now he couldn't be wrongfully accused of doing anything with her. It was hard to remember that he was surrounded by female students rather than just children; especially at his age, sometimes he felt the need to make sure incorrect assumptions weren't made.
Realizing that it looked like he was trying to usher her out the door, he explained, "It looks odd to have a young lady in my office with the door closed." He wasn't sure if anyone at Hogwarts would believe that he was that type of guy, but he wasn't going to risk it. He rather enjoyed his job.

Addison hesitated, not knowing whether to sit back down or go. But she had nothing to do, so at least she could stay here and study. Groaning internally she sat back down and took her Defense Against The Dark Arts book out of her bag and opened it to the last lessons page. Reading about Boggarts, she remembered her experience in the class, it had been so embarrassing, she cringed at the thought.
While in the middle of her paragraph, she heard the door open, turning to see if anyone had come in she realized that Amancio had opened it with his wand, she turned to face him with a confused look on her face, maybe he wanted her to leave. But before she could move he explained that it would be suspicious to be caught with her in his office. Addison blinked, looking down at her book she felt ashamed, for even thinking he looked good.
Laughing nervously, she looked at him, "You're right, it would seem odd. But I don't think anyone would think something like that about you, mostly with me. I am only eleven." She felt like she was reminding herself instead of him, she started reading again, hoping not to draw too much attention to her reddening cheeks.

Amancio shrugged, oblivious to his student's embarrassment. "You're probably right; but male teachers don't always have the best reputation, especially unmarried ones." Amancio wished again that he had married when his parents had asked him to, before he'd left their home entirely. He wished that he could have made them proud instead of ashamed. They'd had to lie to their friends just so that he could continue his dream of being a wizard. But he shook that feeling quickly; he was used to it, and it was pointless to linger on past mistakes. The present and the future were the important things.
He scratched his signature out on a piece of parchment, giving his permission for use of blah blah blah. He hated paperwork. He continued to speak as his eyes scanned over the next piece of parchment; a request for one of his plants, it seemed.
"And Ms. Bell, I don't believe that all adults are as trustworthy as you may think at this point. Sadly, we are fallible."

Gwen tried to ignore the footsteps following her on her way to Amancio's office. When she reached it, she entered without bothering to knock. She stopped in the doorway when she noticed that there was a student in there with him.
"Oh, I'm sorry, am I interrupting something?"
She looked from the girl sitting in front of his desk, to the handsome, tanned man sitting behind it. He looked so hot when he leaned his muscular arms on the desk like that.
"Um, hi Amancio. I made you some cookies. I tried to make them the muggle way so they may not be what you expect, but I tried."
She smiled at him and giggled a little as she set the tray on the desk in front of him.

Addison frowned, she didn't want to cause Amancio any trouble, but she was only eleven, and she was dressed in robes, "Well, if I was older, dressed in something other than school robes and not studying, yes I could see how someone would judge you. But I'm sure for now, you'll be ok." Addison gave him a small smile, closing her D.A.D.A book and taking out her Potions instead.
She circled the ingredients she needed to make the Shrinking Potions, reminded herself to get some from Professor Slughorn.
"All humans are fallible Professor. No one is perfect, but I trust you, you seem harmless." Addison looked up from her book and winked at him, then took out some parchment and continued writing down instructions.
Just then the door opened, and a woman Addison had never seen before entered, Addison continued writting, pretending to be busy. She would leave as soon as possible, that was if it seemed she was interrupting anything.

Amancio coughed and blushed when Addison winked at him. Girls of any age made him feel like an awkward adolescent all over again, even when he felt no attraction toward them. "Well, I'm glad you feel that way." He was going to say something else, but it died when he heard steady, quick steps in the hallway. They were quite clearly coming to his office.
Amancio closed his eyes in nothing less than annoyance when Gwen walked in. He tried to be polite, he really did, but she was just so... so... well, annoying! He wasn't even prone to annoyance! He was normally calm and didn't have the distinct feeling that he'd snapped the quill in his hand in two. He opened his eyes. Yes, yes he had.
He wanted to tell her that as a matter of fact, she was interrupting something, but technically, she wasn't. And that was rude, anyway. He forced an awkward smile onto his face.
"Thank you, Professor Anderson." He looked back at Addison. "This is one of my students, Addison Bell." He shot her a look that he hoped conveyed his undying gratitude that she was there and begged her not to leave him. He didn't know what to do with a woman who was making it quite clear that she was interested. He couldn't outright turn her down. That wasn't his nature.

Erik rolled his eyes at Gwen's flirtations with Amancio. He leaned around her and held out his hand to Amancio.
"Please, excuse Gwen here for not introducing us. I'm Erik, the History of Magic teacher. My little Gwenny is so sweet, making cookies for the teachers like this. Though, if I were you I would think before eating them. She didn't uses magic at all, so careful not to chip a tooth."
He laughed and put his arm around Gwen's shoulder's.

Addison looked up from her notes to peek up at Amancio, he looked frustrated, then he crushed the quill in two in his hand, making her wonder what was wrong. He opened his eyes and forced a smile up at the woman, thanked her for the cookies and introduced Addison.
All the while, Addison had been watching his expression, he seemed tense, then he gave her a pleading look, she decided it might be best to stay, and to say the truth, she was interested in who this woman was and why she had baked her Herbology professor cookies.
Addison stood up and held out her hand to the woman, "Hi Professor Anderson and Professor Erik. I'm Addison, those cookies smell wonderful. "

Gwen leaned out of Erik's arm. She didn't want to hex him in front of Amancio. She turned to the girl who was holding out her hand to her.
"Hi, Addison, it's nice to meet you. I'm the charm's teacher. I hope that you might join my class, it's very useful."
She took her hand and shook it politely. Then she turned to Erik to wisper in his ear.
"Don't touch me again. I won't curse you in front od Amancio, but I will once we leave this room. And if you ever call me Gwenny again, I will personally castrate you."

Damien walked to Amancio's classroom, his next lesson would be about plants and he needed to use some to distinguish the difference between Muggle plants and Magical plants. When he got there, the door was open, peeking in he realized more people were there.
Damien cleared his throat, not wanting to be rude, "Hey, Amancio? Sorry if i'm interrupting anything....But i needed to know if i could borrow some plants for my next lesson?"
He turned to face the other people, noticing one of his students, "Well hello Ms. Bell. And i don't think i've properly met you, I'm Damien." Smiling to both adults he held out his hands, with difficulty he was trying to peel his eyes of the pretty woman.
