Amancio wasn't developing a twitch. He wasn't. Really. And if anyone pointed out that yes, he indeed was, he'd deny it. Because he wasn't angry or annoyed or frustrated in the slightest. And denial was just a river in Egypt.
"Now, professors," he said as pleasantly as he could manage, "Let's not discuss personal matters in front of the students. In fact, you two look like you have an awful lot to discuss. Why don't you head off to the Professors' lounge?" he suggested to Erik and Gwen, although it was more a demand than anything. To Damien, he replied, "We can talk about that in my greenhouse after dinner." People drove him insane. And four of them, three fully grown, inside his already-cramped office? He wanted to take them out to his greenhouse and sic the teething tentacula on them. Why didn't he keep one in his office, anyway? He'd never been attacked, after all...
Ah. Right. The safety of his students. However, the fact that he didn't have one was beginning to be endangering to Addison's health. He'd never had anger issues before his teaching gig at Hogwarts. He'd certainly never wanted to attack a woman with a plant before.
He turned to Addison. He'd just ignore the other teachers. That would work, right? No, probably not, he admitted, but he could try.
"So, Miss Bell, how are your studies, anyway?"

Addison tried to stiffle a laugh, without much success, she could tell Amancio wasn't too happy to have all these people in his office. He offered to take the teacher's to the Professor's Lounge, but quickly turned away and addressed her.
"Oh, my studies are fine. My friend Rose and I are working on this secret project thing, and we need a shrinking potion. So i've been trying to figure out how to do it. The book gives a few helpful hints and such." Addison smiled, knowing that at least she was sort of helping the situation, for Amancio anyway.
Just then Professor Hampton walked in, probably not helping the situation, she gave Amancio a small smile and mouthed, Do you want me to go?

Amancio's eyes widened comically and he shook his head. Don't you dare, he mouthed back quite obviously. As ridiculous as it sounded, Addison was helping to preserve his sanity by being the only other not-crazy person in the crowded room. He would have to thank her over and over again once everyone else left. He wondered if she'd like the cookies Gwen had given him?
He leaned in a little closer to her, as if that would somehow fix the fact that there were three other bodies taking up the limited space in his office.
"A shrinking potion? I don't suppose I'm allowed to know the details of this secret project, am I?" He half-smiled. "It's not anything dangerous or against the rules, is it?" Although Addison didn't look the part of a delinquent, stranger things had happened.

"He's right, Gwen. We should go. Hey Damien, we are going to the professor's lounge if you would like to join us."
Erik took Gwen's upper arm into his hand and led her out into the hallway. He led her all the way back to the Professor's lounge. He really hoped that she wouldn't hurt him after he got all jealous with her flirting with Amancio. What was so great about him anyway. He wasn't even that good-looking.

Addison laughed at Amancio's expression, she wasn't the only one who noticed he wasn't enjoying his company, Erik, luckly, invited Damien and Gwen to the Professor's longue, so at least it would be quiet and un crowded again. Addison turned to say goodbye, "Bye, it was nice meeting all of you. And i think i'll take up that offer of joining charms."
She turned back to Amancio, "Well it's not entirely secret, we are keeping it from our fellow housemates, but i think i can tell you. Hopefully Rose won't kill me." She laughed and continued her story, "We were walking one day, bored out of our minds, when we came to an abandoned classroom. It was nasty, so we cleaned it all up and made it real nice. And now we ordered furniture and decorations for it. Were having a sort of welcoming party the day after the dance. But we need to shrink everything to get it in. So i don't think it's bad, promise not to give me detention?"
Addison laughed again, not that detention could be that bad...

Damien noticed the tension in the room and was glad when Erik spoke up, "I'd love to, after you." He motioned to the door and followed the others out, waving to Amancio and Addison.

Amancio nearly breathed a sigh of relief as everyone began to clear out of the room. He didn't mind having visitors as much as it may have seemed, but having them all at once was a bit crazy. Especially with as many plants as he'd crammed into the space; they could have easily filled a room twice as large.
"Well," he said to Addison, "As long as you're not doing anything illegal, I don't see why I should give you detention. Students are allowed to have their own celebrations, of course, within reason." At least he was pretty sure they could. He didn't see why not; Dumbledore seemed like he would actually rather enjoy the fact that students were meeting and bonding on their own. "Simply don't do anything you wouldn't want your parents to hear about. Because they will," he warned. "Students at Hogwarts don't get away with nearly as much as you may think."
When he was in Hogwarts, every wrong turn he took landed him detention. Granted, he'd made an awful enemy of the DADA professor on his first day out of bad luck. That may have had something to do with it. But if stretching the truth just the slightest bit kept his students out of trouble, there was no problem with doing it.

Addison grinned at Amancio and with her best southern accent she said, "Ahh, Proffesor, do you really believe a lady as sophisticated as me would do something bad?" Addison laughed nervously, if he decided to check up on them, they might have to be extra careful. Rose did suggest some rum, with was part of a good old celebration.
Addison sighed, yeah, her parents, oh they were sure to care. "Eh, anyways, my mom will freak out, but as soon as i buy her something i'll be forgiven, and my dad usually blends into the background." Addison rolled her eyes, the thought of her parents sometimes stressed her out, they could be good and bad parents, but when it came to her being in trouble, it was usually a piece of cake for them to forget it.

Farah bit her bottom lip, worry for Astin and her still non-communicative husband adding tons of stress onto her already full plate. To distract herself she'd gone to the greenhouses to check on her Moonseed Plants. It had been a project that joined both Astronomy and Herbology, but it had kind of dropped off into the back of her mind since the seeds took months to progress to the next phase.
But when she'd gone to check on them, they were quite strange looking, and she needed Professor Calzadilla's advice. As she moved to his door and knocked lightly on the frame, she noticed a student. "Oh! I apologize. I didn't realize there was a student in here. Perhaps I'll come back later. I was simply wondering at the Moonseed Plants..." her voice faded off as she felt rather stupid for bothering the professor. He was quite busy.

Amancio leaned back into his chair and crossed his arms over his chest, raising an eyebrow. "Ms. Bell, as old as I may be," God, old enough to be your father, "I was in your place once. And although they seem meaningless at the time, when you get older, you will realize they were set in place to protect you and your peers. Don't do something you'll be ashamed of later." He wished he had better advice to give, but he didn't. All he knew was that even he wished he'd behaved more when in school.
Amancio nearly slammed his head into the desk when someone else walked in, but he stopped once he saw who it was. Farah at the least didn't make him frustrated, annoyed, or angry in any way at all. A semi-relieved smile broke across his face.
"No, come in, come in." Was she wearing new robes? Wait. She was married and very much in love with her husband. Besides, women were weird and confusing. Their looks aside, they made him feel way too off-balance. "Everyone else has come to see us; I won't deny you that pleasure," he half-joked. "What is it about the Moonseed Plants?"

Farah gave an apologetic smile to the student in the classroom before responding to Professor Calzadilla's question. "Honestly, I'm not sure. That's why I came to you...something just seemed...off." Like everything else in her life, honestly. All she wanted was to hear from her husband, to know he was alright. She understood that information gathering was tricky work, and those doing it weren't able to communicate regularly.
But it had now been a month, and she hadn't heard anything from her husband. Worry had nestled itself in her heart. And then, everything that had happened with the Death Eaters and Astin. To think that such danger could happen so close to Hogwarts. She wanted to rush home to her babies, all of whom were staying with their aunt Meynara, and make sure everything was okay.
Shaking herself out of her thoughts, Farah offered him a smile. "But it can certainly wait until your business here is concluded. I don't like being intruded on while I'm with a student, and I'm sure you feel much the same way."

Addison shook her head, "Oh no, it's fine, i was just bored and came to bother, good luck with your plants." She offered a small smile and started gathering her things. At least this lady didn't seem like a crazy psycho.
"I'll see you later Professor Amancio." Standing up, she picked up her bag and walked towards the door, waving on her way out.

As Addison left, Amancio offered her a smile. She was a sweet child; he just hoped she didn't get tangled up in trouble this time around. "I'll see you in class, Ms. Bell," he reminded her. Once she was gone, he rose from behind his desk, grabbed his coat and draped it over his arms, and held out a hand toward the doorway.
"Well then, Professor Smith," he said politely, "If you are ready, we may go see what is wrong with our plants." He waited for her to go ahead, both out of the farm-boy chivalry that had been instilled in him as a child and out of sheer respect for her. In all honesty, he couldn't see how anything had gone wrong, especially so suddenly, but she seemed worried and he wasn't going to make her deal with that by herself. She was probably stressed out over something else entirely, such as the Death Eater attacks nearby that were growing increasingly close.
And anyway, he wasn't going to turn down a chance to go see his plants.

Farah smiled and moved out of the way, allowing Addison to pass by and offering her quiet greetings as she moved. The young girl seemed to have a lot of promise; she certainly had the drive and the initiation. Not many other students sought out their professors for advice lately; they preferred relying on friends and being lazy. It made her happy to see students that actually cared about their education.
"If you are ready, we may go see what is wrong with our plants." Professor Calzadilla's voice pulled her out of her thoughts and she smiled.
"Yes, of course. It may be nothing at all; I'm certainly no professional," she said, her words punctuated by a light, musical chuckle. She moved out of the office when Professor Calzadilla motioned her to do so, impressed with his manners.
Of all the people she worked with, she rather liked him the best. He was more her age, and so he had a maturity that few of her other coworkers had, and his gentlemanly manners and somewhat reserved nature complimented her own necessarily submissive personality.
And she rather enjoyed quiet walks to the greenhouses, she decided, as the two set off down the hallway.
