Rose blushed from getting caught trying to be sneaky about watching the boy draw. He was really good she hadn't ever seen anyone draw as good as he did. Watching him was kind of cool, watching the line a circle and then how much the shading come together and the different effect that every line had on the draw was simple amazing to her. Sorry for disturbing you. It was less crowded over here. Then I saw your drawing and it was... memorizing to watch it come together. Rose explained. She felt stupid from her explanation, but it was the truth, and guess that all that matter. I'll be quiet if you let stay here. I am just don't want to be around big crowds its hard to concentrate. Rose told the boy. She hoped he wouldn't mind to much. Xing would probably be here soon as well but I am sure they could keep down when came.

Marcus blushed when he heard the girl say that his picture "memorizing to watch". "Sure you can stay, I understand how you feel I don't like big crowds either" Marcus had a lack of words to say, but he was happy to know that he had finaly connected with someone, even if she watched him while he drew his picture. "Oh I'm sorry i didn't introduce myself, I'm Marcus Feyson and who might you be miss". Marcus couldn't help but be polite, after all it was his first year and he didn't want to think he was creepy, like so many others already did.

Rose smiled at him, he was polite she liked that. She hoped she wasn't bothering him to much. He din't seem to mad at her for being rude and watching him draw, but watching him draw was different kind of fun, it was amazing. I am Rosemarie Willington... But most people call me Rose or Rosy either is fine with me. She said a smile. Rose wasn't to fond of her last name, mostly because she actually had to share something with people that were totally opposite of her. But family is family you have to share something with them if nothing else, she glad the name was the only ting her and her family had in common, and nothing else. She was a Gryffindor and they were Slytherin, and snake were the perfect description for them. Rose mental shook the thought from her mind. Not to keep distracting you but do you always draw this good? Rose asked curious. She like the boys drawing and if they were all this good why these drawings weren't more well known.

Marcus blushed, he couldn't believe it someone thought his artwork was good. "Well, Im not gloating but yeah most of the time, wou....would you like it after all your name is Rose and my picture is of a rose.". He couldn't believe himself he's never asked someone that before, he felt soooo embarrassed, but to late he couldn't take back the words he just said. "Also would you like to hear the poem I wrote about it as well" . He did it again, he was so embarrassed but he couldn't help himself. He felt like bolting for the door, but there was something about Rose that made him not want to leave, but he couldn't put his finger on it. He tried to ask her another question but stopped himself be for he embarrassed himself even more.

Really you would let me have it? I can pay for it if you want, and I would to hear the poem. Rose Hadn't really read or listened to poetry before, so this really was a change for her. Hogwarts was a completely different from what she was use. At home she was the outcast, black sheep, alone. Here she was making friends everywhere she went, she loved it here so much more welcoming. Rose felt like she could be more open and herself than she ever could.

"No no no i refuse to take your money". This comment made Marcus was angry, that Rose would even think that he would take her money when he just offered the picture to her. "The poem goes like this". Marcus took a deep breath as he began to read. A rose on a winters mourning, is anything but sweet. The thorns frozen to the stem of the rose in the darkness of the night, her petals wilt from the cold into the never ending darkness. But from the darkness comes the light, and from winter it is spring and the rose blooms once more, in the light of the glowing sun. And she regains life from the prink of death, to live again. A rose on a winters mourning, is everything thats sweet.

Rose didn't mean to offend him, just the picture was so good it didn't seem fair just to take things from others and not give something back in return. She listen to him as he read off the poem, it was so deep and she liked it, it was something that would stick out in her mind at least. She liked things that stuck out they were easier to remember. I like that poem, and I didn't mean to offend you I just don't like taking things without giving something back. All my family does it take and never gives back. Rose explained why the way she felt. Though she felt like she might have said to much, she doesn't talk about her family that much let alone to someone she had just met. A blush crossed her cheeks, though it would probably just blend with the light pink that naturally sat there.

Marcus listened to Rose's response. "Think of it as a token appreciation for being the first person in Hogwarts to talk to me", as Marcus said this he blushed so much he swore that Rose noticed, hopefully she didn't. But he was happy to know that Rose liked the poem. He was also glad he was getting to know her better, it was the start of what he hoped was a beautiful friendship. Marcus was still a little angry about Rose wanting to pay for his picture, he was hoping that she couldn't hear it in is voice. "If you ever want a picture or a painting done for you feel free to ask". Marcus still put his finger on why he didn't walk away, but he was glad he didn't in the end because other wise he wouldn't have got to know this much about Rose. "I should go study" Marcus thought, but he didn't want to leave Rose, he wanted to talk to her more.

First friend? For some reason that shocked her. But she was proud to be his first friend. She also liked that she felt like she had her own personal artist that nobody else had, that also happened to be a very nice friend. He he, her smiled widen. She looked down and remember she had studying to do. Rose really didn't want to do work, she was advancing at her own pace, but she also had been working harder than she ever had. Rose smiled when idea hit her. I have studying to do, but honestly I would rather talk. So would you like to study with me? So we can be talking and doing studying at the same time. If...If you don't want to its fine I am very social when I meet new people. I can understand if you want time to yourself. Rose said quickly adding the last part remember that she did interrupt him and he might want to be alone. Rose knew she was social, once they get past the starting the first conversation part, teachers call her there social butterfly.

Marcus blushed, he couldn't help but think "Oh my Merlin, she wants to keep talking to me". "Of course I'll study with you" He couldn't believe it, someone had asked him to study with them. He tried not to blush anymore then he already was but he couldn't help it. "Do you want to stay here or go somewhere else". Marcus hoped that Rose didn't take this the wrong way and think of him as a creep. He didn't want to look into her eyes thinking he might get lost, this was the first friend that was a girl, and he was still yet to put his finger on what stopped him from leaving.

Somewhere else sounds nice. It over crowded in here today. I don't being around a lot of people. She said, Rose knew he didn't mean anything creepy by it. It was crowded in here and it was starting to slowly more crowded and if they stayed they be able to smell the person next to them ans she didn't want to be able to do that, gross. Xing was suppose to be coming but she was sure he would understand, he probably wouldn't like it here that much because all the people here today. Then she remember Xing was in Ravenclaw as well, maybe she could pass him a note later through Marcus.

"Oh yeah I understand I don't like big crowds either, where do you like want to go". By the sound of Rose's voice he could tell that she wasn't creeped out by him, "thats good" he thought, that was the last thing he needed. He was glad she wanted to go somewhere else, Rose was right it was getting very crowded. Seeing as Marcus was know to Hogwarts he thought "What better to learn my way around here, but with another student, but where would they go, Hogwarts just seemed too crowded everywhere". All these people were beging to make him sick, he wanted to get out of there as fast as he could. He would gone to the Ravenclaw common room but then Marcus remembered Rose was in Gryffindor, so that didn't wouldn't work, where oh where were they to go hmmmm........

Rose could think of a couple of places they could go, but the one that she wanted to use wasn't ready yet, her and Addison had to put the last touches left and then they had the grand opening to do. Rose thought about other places, the lawn might not be so crowded, or they lake, even the court yard might be a little less crowded than here. Well there's the Lawn, the Lake, and the Court yard. I don't mind any of those places. Well those are all the places that I heard isn't so crowded. Like it seems to be in here. Rose suggested. Rose was pretty use to Hogwarts by now, but the first week she had gotten lost on her way to her favorite class, potions. No one seem to have noticed that she had slipped in when the teacher wasn't looking, and didn't get on the teachers bad side.

Marcus tried not to remember what happened the last time he was near a lake. "Let’s go to the courtyard, I would've liked to go to the lake but the last I was at one something terrible happened.". Then the memories came flooding back, his brother’s screams, his brother flailing his arms as he tried to swim and finally the most horrible one of all, his brother's drowned body floating along the lake. A tear drop fell from Marcus's eye, he wished he could forget the painful memories, but sadly he couldn't. He hoped Rose didn't ask what was wrong, the last thing he needed was another person saying it was his fault that his brother died. After awhile Marcus stopped thinking of that terrible day and fought back the rest of his tears. Marcus was thinking of what the courtyard might be like, then he finally realised something, the reason he didn't leave the table before, it was because he found Rose to be very caring and understanding, Marcus liked that in people thought Marcus wasn't the type to hang around people to much he knew he would be hanging out with Rose a lot more then with anyone else. "Rose would understand what I'm going through, wouldn't she".

Rose's heart sank when she saw the tears fall. She wanted to give him a hug and tell him it was alright. But she didn't know why he was crying so she couldn't tell him that, and she did just meet the boy so no hugs, she didn't want to freak the boy out. Instead she put her hand on his shoulder. I am sorry I didn't mean to bring back any bad memories. If you need to talk I am here, I wont judge, but if you don't want to talk about it either I wont push you to talk about it either. She might not being going through anything he was, but she knew the feeling of someone always asking what was wrong when she didn't want to talk about it, sometimes it made the wound worse. But she knew that sometimes it felt better to be able to talk to someone, for her she had no one she could talk to until she came to Hogwarts and even then she was closed up from some people.
