Name: Akiko Narita.
Gender: Female.
Orientation: Straight.
Hair: Usually brown, and stick-straight unless she curls it.
Eyes: Brown.
Skin-tone: Tan, mostly from genetics.
Personality: Akiko’s very shy, especially when meeting new people. She’d rather be reading than socializing, but secretly she puts a lot of effort into how she looks, and is the slightest bit proud of it. She won’t admit that aloud, of course. She won’t admit most things aloud, actually. She tends to hold grudges on the inside and doesn’t express her feelings, plentiful as they may be, very often. However, despite her apparent indifference, she cares a lot more than she lets on. She easily grows attached to people once they’re in her life, but she tries to shut herself off because of past experiences.
Likes: Reading and books, anything small or fluffy.
Dislikes: People in general.
History: When Akiko was eight, her parents, two prominent members of the wizarding world in Asia, were murdered violently. Her caretaker, an old ex-Auror by the name of Yusei, saved her and brought her to a safe place in muggle London and put her in an orphanage. For the next three years, she travelled from home to home but never managed to find permanent residence, no matter how hard she tried to behave. It was at the orphanage that she developed a joy for reading and learning; by bettering herself, she managed to escape reality, even if only for a short period of time.
Upon receiving her Hogwarts letter, Akiko moved to a Yusei-approved house with six other orphaned magical children headed by five adults. However, despite the improving turn of events, Akiko doesn’t feel she’ll ever recover from her childhood.
Special Skills: Akiko can recall facts, even especially mundane ones, from almost any point in time. Ask her what necklace so-and-so wore a week ago, and she can tell you.
Sample Post: Akiko brushed her long hair back into a hair tie. She didn't want to go to England, but Yusei insisted. She didn't understand how moving somewhere so far away from home was going to keep her safe; Japan had always made her feel safe. Of course, Yusei had always known best, and she wasn't prone to arguing; she hadn't even been able to make the slightest protest against the move. Not after her parents had...
She swallowed and stood suddenly, blinking back tears. It had hardly been a week since she'd had the two most important people torn from her life, and now she had to leave what little remained of them behind. Yusei said it was for her own good, but she didn't see how. He refused to even allow her to bring mementos of them with her. She was scared and alone and on her way to a foreign land she'd never been to.
Even at eight years old, she understood enough to know not to argue back. She'd never win this argument. No one could ever win with Yusei.
