Eirwyn followed Night's gesture toward Dastan and a girl in matching costume. Eirwyn hadn't seen her around, although something about her was rather familiar. What did Night mean th-- oh. Stifling laughter, Eirwyn pressed a gloved hand to her lips.
"I wonder what that's about," she said, shoulders shaking with the humor of the whole situation, "Although I'm positive we're not to know that's Astin."
She turned her eyes back to Night and... Rosemarie was her name, right?
"I'm Eirwyn," she said, taking Night's hand and shaking it daintily, "It's nice to meet you."

Astin beamed once he finally caught sight of Dastan. Das made a rather cute pirate, he had to say. He suddenly didn't mind being a wench so much... aside from not being able to breathe, that is. That, he did mind. Of course, with the way Dastan was dressed, he wasn't sure the lack of a corset would help things any.
"Hey," he said quietly; he didn't want anyone to hear him and recognize him. Already he felt awkward and paranoid. He definitely didn't want it to get around that he made a habit of dressing in drag, because he certainly didn't. But he did crazy, crazy things for Das. Things like dressing up like a wench in front of the whole school. "I was starting to wonder if you'd hung me out to dry."
He turned, facing the same direction as Dastan, and placed his hand on the inside of his "date's" elbow in an attempt to come off as a proper female. "Well then. Shall we?" he questioned with a wink.

Rose's eye's got wide, she knew she/he looked familiar she looked over at the girl, Night was right it was Astin. She looked back at Eirwyn. Your right Astin isn't the type to be cross dressing. This means that... He's... going out with Dastan. Oh my... Everything seem to click into place. Rose cover her mouth to stop the laughter attract attention. Rose couldn't believe she had missed it, they completely showed all the signs in the cave/tunnel place but it never crossed her mind. When she finished her laughing fit, she smiled at Eirwyn. I am Rose. Nice to meet. How are you? She asked sweetly. A little more lose than before, talking to completely new person wasn't so bad now. That's what these get together are for, meet other people and have fun.

Night laughed softly and smiled, "So lets not say anything. I'm a bit parched If you'll pardon me, ladies. It was nice talking to you." She bowed her cape flying out behind her. She turned after saying her good byes and walked towards the punch table. As she walked away she sighed. She was hoping whilst she was here she may find a girlfriend. But alas there were so many straight women she had a almost zero to none chance.

"Wow, this is really dead, isn't it?"
Viola jumped from surprise she hadn’t even noticed Elena standing there. She almost spilled her drink the smell would have been difficult to cover up. And…. The previously red drink was now turning a nasty shade of radioactive green. She took a sip anyway before she spoke. It burned her throat on the way down, now she didn’t have to clear it. “Um, yeah. Corpselike.” She didn’t know what she was saying. Elena was smiling at her. That was a good thing, right? She didn’t know where they were. Were they even a ‘They‘?
Casting about randomly, she set out for something to talk about, “Oh, is that new lipstick? It’s nice. Very red.” Now she was self conscious about the amount of eyeliner she was wearing. She gestured at a chair and walked with Elena over to it and sat down beside her. Everything was so strained now. She kicked at a candle that had fallen and watched it roll across the room. Now what do we do?

Nice talking to you as well Night. Rose turned to Eirwyn. So what does your date look like besides the knight look. She asked she didn't have to worry about a date. All Rose had to worry about is her shoes. She wasn't used to fancy shoes either, the stones were digging into the side of her foot making it hurt a little, but she ignored it.

Griffin walked in the room feeling very hot and awkward in his armor. He clanked slightly as he walked. He looked around him, and noticed a beautiful girl in a blue dress. He had to look twice before he realized that it was his date. He walked slowly over to her, trying to clank as little as possible.
"Hi, Eirwyn. Do I look rediculous enough for you? You look beautiful by the way."
He grinned nervously. He had just noticed that her dress matched her eyes almost exactly. He just stood there not sure what to do next.

"A pleasure to meet you, too," Eirwyn replied to Rose with a smile. She wasn't entirely sure why they hadn't spoken before; Rose seemed very nice.
"So lets not say anything. I'm a bit parched If you'll pardon me, ladies. It was nice talking to you."
Eirwyn giggled lightly when Night bowed out. "You, too," she called after her.
"So what does your date look like besides the knight look."
Eirwyn thought about it. "Um, he's got dark hair," she replied, "Although I'm not sure how far he'll be going with the whole knight costume..." She trailed off at the sound of metal clanking. She looked around and spotted Griffin, making his way over to them.
"Hi, Eirwyn. Do I look rediculous enough for you? You look beautiful by the way."
Eirwyn giggled again, pressing her fingers to her lips. He looked equal parts ridiculous and handsome, surely. Wait, what was she thinking? Griffin, handsome? Well, she had to admit, he looked rather... dashing, even in that silly knight costume.
"Thank you. And yes, you look plenty ridiculous," she teased, "And quite handsome, as well."

Elena sat down, looking away from Viola awkwardly. This was so...off. Where was the warm, loving girl she knew? She didn't like this at all, even if it was mostly her fault. She glanced over at Vi and smiled shyly, not knowing what else to do. Nothing was happening, no conversation. She bit her reddened lips.
“Oh, is that new lipstick? It’s nice. Very red.”
Elena blinked and perked up. Lipstick? "Oh, I don't have any. I um...it must be the punch." She laughed a little, looking down again. This headpiece was giving her a headache. Or maybe it was the situation all around. E, I’m dumping you. Elena blinked again, feeling her hear pang. Right...there was that. "Um, Vi? I--Never mind. Um..." She trailed off, unsure of what to say. What was she supposed to say anyhow? There was really nothing she could. Viola didn't want her like that. Unless the girl was lying. Determination flared up in her. Damn it, Viola may not want her like that, but she'd be damned if she let the girl go without a fight.
"No, not never mind. Vi, listen, I--about what happened the other day... I'm sorry, OK? I don't know what happened. Please, I--I need you. Don't...If you--I--I love you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, OK?" Tears stung her eyes and she stood up. She needed to get away now. She told herself she wouldn't cry and yet here she was, about to. Damn it all... This was not going the way she planned. Frankly, it was embarrasing. What would her brothers think if they saw her like this? All weepy and blubbery? They'd laugh, that was for sure. And she honestly couldn't blame them. She felt pathetic. She felt--Numb. Above all, she felt numb.

"Thank you. And yes, you look plenty ridiculous, and quite handsome, as well."
"I hope more handsome than rediculous? So.....what do peaple generally do at these things? I've never been to one before, so what do you want to do?"
He grinned, he tried making the situation less awkward for himself. He held out his arm to her, as he did a squeak can from the armor at his elbow. He grimaced at the loud embarrasing noise.

Griffin, Griffin was her date, she really didn't get much time to get to know him the last first time they met. Rose wondered off, so that they could be together. She looked around it seemed like everyone was paired off except... her. She walked over to an over sized chair and sat down and swung her feet waiting for people to show up. There had to be more people to show this couldn't be all. Rose wondered if Toby was coming. A smile crossed her face, she enjoyed messing with his mind.

"Well then. Shall we?"
"Shall we...what?" Das asked, quirking a brow. He couldn't stop thinking how pretty Astin was. It was beginning to grate on his nerves. No boy should be considered pretty. Handsome, yes. Devilishly attractive, yes. Sexy, yes. But pretty? It was...odd. "What are we supposed to be doing at these things? I've never been to a dance before." He chanced one more look at Astin's pretty ringlets and then cursed himself again. He was being stupid.
But he'd already reconciled himself to the fact that he found Astin incredibly attractive, hadn't he? Why would that change with him being a girl? It still didn't mean he had to do anything about it. "You look like you shouldn't be able to breathe," he remarked suddenly, glancing at the corset. "Are those things safe?"
The corset certainly didn't look safe. He couldn't imagine wearing one of those torture devices. Speaking of torture devices...
The feather once again tickled his face and he swatted at it. "I hate this stupid thing," he groused.

Eirwyn smiled and politely took the arm offered her.
"Generally, it's polite to offer your lady a drink or ask her to dance," she informed him. She'd been to many such events with her parents, and she rather liked them; the only thing she didn't like were the set-up courtiers who were more interested in status than in her as a person. Of course, Griffin had already set himself apart from them by not giving the customary bow and kissing her hand. She wasn't sure yet if that was a good thing or not.
"Well, Rose, I'm afraid it looks like I'll be off. It was nice meeting you."

"No, not never mind. Vi, listen, I--about what happened the other day... I'm sorry, OK? I don't know what happened. Please, I--I need you. Don't...If you--I--I love you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, OK?" Viola watched, shocked, as Elena stood up and delivered her tirade. Well, not exactly shocked. She knew it was coming. She knew Elena too well. She was just surprised that she would be so public about it. Airing their dirty laundry in the middle of a party. “Elena… I know. I’m sorry too, I love you too, it’s just… I’m bad for you. Things aren’t working out.” The words slipped out easily. She wanted nothing more than to hold Elena to her and tell her that everything was okay, that everything was fine. But she couldn’t do that. It would be a lie. Elena deserved more than that. Her eyes were prickling again, damn, she couldn’t do this again, she cried so much now. “Listen Elena, I just…. I can’t do this right now. I can’t handle it.”
She stood up too, and finished her drink. She could feel the effects of the alcohol. It made her feel numb. It was easier to do what needed to be done this way. She walked away. She needed something to take her mind off of Elena. She looked around for someone, anyone that she knew. There, Griffin. In a suit of armour. It would have been comical in any other circumstances. “Oh hey Griffin, Griffin Sosario. Remember me? I guess you survived your fight with the Willow.” She faked a small laugh and looked at the girl he was with. “Hi, I’m Viola.” She looked nice. Maybe Griffin was dating her. She hoped so. But she didn’t feel like extending her hand. She couldn’t handle touching a stranger. Not after what had happened with the last one.

"Generally, it's polite to offer your lady a drink or ask her to dance."
"Oh, okay. Eirwyn, would you like a drink? Then, maybe would you like to dance? Even thought it will be quite noisy and difficult in this costume, but we can give it a go."
He smiled down at her as another girl walked up to them. He recognized her from the whomping willow.
“Oh hey Griffin, Griffin Sosario. Remember me? I guess you survived your fight with the Willow.”
"Uh, ya I did. Being beat up by that tree got me a date."
Still arm in arm with Eirwyn, he looked down at her and grinned, again. It seemed that he couldn't stop doing that tonight.
