I've notified the killer, and this game's detective will be the lovely Marcus Feyson. Have fun. Also. Please, do not recycle deaths anymore. It's annoying and frustrating for those of us who try at this. If you are too busy or if you have lost interest, feel free to say so; but this is supposed to be original. It doesn't matter if you can't think of something cool and new and exciting-- it's better to fall back on a slightly more normal or boring death than to reuse old ideas. That's lazy, and it ruins the excitement for the rest of us. And yes, the head of this site does agree; I specifically asked her. PS: I know that my detective-post for the last Wink is still not up, and I apologize for that. My laptop is currently out of comission until I buy a new power cord, which may be a while... life has been beating me in the face lately. I am going to *try* to work on it, but I'm making no promises. And with that, the longest, lamest, most useless Wink intro post ever... have fun dying!

Rose walked along the corridor after saying good-bye to her most recent friend Marcus, he was such nice person she couldn’t wait to start potions tutoring again tomorrow. She wondered were Xing was all day, he hadn’t shown up, she was sure he wouldn’t mind if that she had to leave the library early, it was crowded and she didn’t think anyone wanted to be in there unless they had to be. The library was usually almost empty with just a few students. She walked down the empty corridor, well she thought they were empty. Out of the corner of her eye she saw something that reminded her of someone. She turned at looked at the person. “Hey how was your day?” She asked, the person stare at her, there was something different. She took a closer look at her friend, something about them told her to run, but this person was way nice to her when they met the other night, she couldn’t just run. “A-are you alright? You look…Different.” She said stepping back a little. She wasn’t sure what was going, what could make someone change so… Fast? The person stared at her, those eye’s scared this living crap out of her. She was frozen now, she didn’t know what to do. “I am quite fine you know. Just got lost again it so creepy at night. I couldn't find my hair gel today.” Person said still watching. “Well I. I could help you if you want.” Rose said still a bit shaken up. The person nodded at her. “I need to get to Dumbledor’s office.” They said. That was in the opposite direction way from were she was headed. She walked by him walking towards there destination, he walked behind, which freaked her out a little bit. This person could attack while her back was to them. Which is what they did, after a few more turns she felt her back grow cold, from the hit of the spell, and she blacked out. When she woke up they were in a forest, way deep in the forbidden forest. She turned to person. “What are we doing here? There’s nothing here you could possible need” Rose told to the person, which smile back at her. “No one can here you out here.” They said. Pulling out there wand. Rose’s eyes grew wide, she went to grab hers but it seemed to be missing, or someone just took it. Her breath was caught in her throat as the person’s wand raised to her head, she stared in disbelief. What had she done? Did she say something wrong? That couldn’t be it this person was so sweet and joyous just the other night, what happened? At last second she knocked the wand away from her head and ran from him, but wasn’t sure were to go. She hide a tree. What could she do she was wandless in the middle of the unknown workings of the Forbidden Forest. She could at least try and stay alive until someone notices she missing and then come and try and find her, but how long was that going to take she had to find a way to defend herself. She heard the person getting closer, she looked from behind the tree to see were this person was. She watch he wasn’t the person he was before, she could see that clearly, she wish she knew what had happened. She turned and ran in the opposite direction from him, but didn’t get far. Rose felt pain run through out her whole body, from the Cruciatus cruse. She fell to her knee’s , tears fell her eyes. “W-why?” She cried. The person just stared at her and raise their wand again, Rose closed her eyes. She knew she couldn’t do anything nothing at all. It was all over in matter of second, one deadly cruse and she was gone.

Post by Eva Vance on Aug 15, 2010 20:30:14 GMT -5
Eva's head hurt like the devil; she had the worst hang-over she could ever remember having had in her entire life. Apparently, Ed's recent betrayal had caught up with her and drinking had seemed to be the only escape. Then she'd met Kris, and they'd had a wild time, more than once now, and sometimes alcohol got involved there, too. It was great. The problem was in how sick she felt today; her magic was even ignoring her. All of her plants seemed to be in hibernation and she lacked the magic skill for other basic things. She'd given herself fully to her plants.
And today, she had an Order meeting. She didn't want to go. She would much rather be in bed, perhaps curled up with Kris or something. Not here at Hogwarts, biding her time as she waited for the go-ahead.
Sighing and leaning up against the wall in the hallway, Eva began rubbing at her head. Today couldn't possibly get any worse.
She was wrong. Someone bumped into her, and she lashed out, shoving them down. "Watch where you're going you---" her eyes fell to the young student before her. "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to lash out like that. I'm ill and..."
She didn't get to finish before the student jumped to their feet and lunged at her, bearing her to the ground. As she gazed up into their face, dumbfounded, she opened her mouth to ask them what the hell they were doing, but fell silent as she gazed into the depths of the student's eyes: they were completely devoid of all emotion. Bland, lifeless. It was almost as if they weren't even alive. She didn't get the chance to say anything else, though, because they pulled their wand out and pointed it at her face.
"Reducto," they muttered tonelessly, and Eva's face and head exploded in a gush of blood and brain matter. One of her eyeballs rolled up against the wall, and the murderer stood, completely unaffected by what they had done and the blood that coated their robes. Silently, they stepped over her body and began trekking down the hallway.

Post by Ian Hardy on Aug 15, 2010 21:45:57 GMT -5
"Finally," Ian sighed as he slammed closed his ginormous text book, "History of Ancient Ruins", that he had been using for a way-too-damn-long paper for Professor Babbling's class. His rude slams got him some evil glares, but why care? It was too bad that five or so students were behind in the class that he excelled in, but it's not his fault that he can pop out a ten page paper in just a couple of hours and get kick-ass grades on it.
Which, come to mind, was due in about 20 minutes. So he had to get a move on if he wanted to be finally rid of this stupid paper, and avoid the other procrastinators like himself.
He got his things together hastily, and hurried down the corridors to the Ruins classroom as he thought of some pranks he could pull on some unlucky Slytherins. Or maybe get some other Ravenclaws together to play some Quidditch, or something.
As he strolled about the corridors, daydreaming of finally doing something productive, he saw a small surge of light before he heard the whispered curse Densaugeo set a pond him. He staggered back as he began to feel a heaviness set in his jaw. He put his hands up to his face as he felt his teeth being to enlarge and expand passed his lips, pass is chin; until he was having to hold his mouth together with all of his arm strength.
He wanted to scream out but he could only mutter out slurred worlds. Next thing he knew he was face first on the floor, and all he could feel was the pain of the growth. That is until his teeth reach such a large size that his bottom jaw ripped off his face. Leaving him spilling his own blood on the floor. Next he heard an unfamiliar laugh from a familiar voice.
He tried to look up to see the face behind the laugh, but his top teeth were still growing, ripping his top lip along the way, and he was losing so much blood that his sight was very fuzzy. He was barly able to get a glimpse of the face, and he was so suprised that he couldn't believe it.
But before he could yell out any profanities about being betrayed Ian had succumbed to his pain, and dizzying blood loss, and passed out in a pool of his own blood as the killer walked away. Leaving the boy to drown in his own blood.

Post by Rylee Goldshanks on Aug 15, 2010 23:14:05 GMT -5
Rylee was scared. Terrified even. She wished Alec were here. He always seemed to have a lot of self-confidence. She wondered if maybe he also had some self-defense skills.
Just like everyone else, Rylee had heard the talk, the rumors. She had thought it would be a good idea to investigate on her own, prove her worth. Prove she could be just like her mum. She was apparently wrong in that regard though, because now she was somewhere beneath the school and she was hopelessly and completely lost. Darkness was all around her, and no amount of light from her wand seemed to do anything for her.
Fighting not to cry, Rylee collapsed back against the wall and tried to figure this out.
She didn't have too long to wait. A sudden disturbance in one of the puddles nearby alerted her to the presence of someone else. "Who's there?" she called, moving her lit wand in a circle all around her. Nobody was there. Turning back around, she suddenly screamed a piercing scream and fell backwards into one of the puddles when a young face had materialized in front of her, seemingly out of nowhere.
"Oh sweet baby Jesus, I thought you were something menacing or something...what're you doing down here? Isn't your common room, like, way up there?" she said, hating the way the wetness from the puddle seemed to have seeped into her clothes. Now, on top of being lost and scared, she was soaked. "I don't suppose you know a way out?"
"You won't be needing a way out," said the voice of the other student in a monotone, then before Rylee could ask what kind of a nasty joke he was playing, her mind began putting all the pieces together.
"Oh, shit! You're---" Rylee never got to finish. The other person muttered an electricity spell and aimed it at her feet, and the water sent the electric surges through her body. She jerked sporadically, her body collapsing to the ground as her insides were fried and her heart beat overtime.
Even after she finally passed onto oblivion, her body lay twitching on the ground. It would probably never even be found.

It was late, and Erik was on that way back to his office. It was dark in the castle, so he knew it must be past curfew. He walked faster, he really never was fond of the dark. He turned a corner and ran right into a dark figure.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
As he tried to walk around them, they pulled their wand. Erik was frozen, for some reason he couldn't move.
"Let me show you something. It is a little trick that has been passed down in my family for generations. It's really quite facinating."
Erik looked down to find a stalk of bamboo growing out of the marble floor. He tried to run, but was still unable to move. It made a turn and headed for his shoes. The plant broke through the leather and Erik screamed in pain as it creeped slowly under his tornails and under the skin of his foot. As soon as he thought things couldn't get any worse, another stalk grew up and into his other foot. Both of the plants slowly made their way under the skin of his legs and past his hips.
He screamed again as the bamboo punctured one of his organs. He wasn't sure which one, but he could feel the blood pooling beneath his skin. Just as the pain began to decrease, his other organs began to rupture. His scream echoed off the walls at this new wave of pain. The plant slowly made its way through his lungs, stopping his scream along with his breath. To his dismay, the bamboo missed his heart completely. It made its way up his throat and finally stopping just below his brain.
The dark figure left him standing there. His skin was now blue as his blood flowed under his skin, but finding no outlet. After, what seemed like an eternity, Erik's eyes finally closed as he stood there scewered on a bamboo plant.

Viola was in the dungeon, in her secret little room with the drain, huddled around her latest potion. No one would be able to find her in here, so she conducted secret illicit experiments here. It wasn’t going well, she’d already put three people in the hospital wing from her tests. One student had looked critical there for awhile, but he got better. Eventually.
Concentrating as she was, she didn’t hear the footsteps announcing the arrival of someone else. She did hear the curse he muttered though. On instinct, she ducked out of the way, and it missed. No one should be here, no one should know where she was. She tried to pull out her wand, but too late she remembered that it was on a small ledge across the room, near her attacker. She couldn’t see who it was in the dim gloomy light from the fire under her potion. She could see a blue glow as another spell was cast, she dived, skinning her knees. Now she was back in the center of the room, near the potion. She lifted it up with both hands, and held back a scream as black metal burned her palms and fingers, then threw it at her assailant. It was too heavy, and fell to the floor before… Him, but the potion did splash out on his robes. Good, the current stage of the potion would be acidic.
Still, she could barely make out anything in the flickering light of the small blue flames. In a feat of rather remarkable magic, she managed to make the flames grow bigger, without her wand. “You! What the hell are you doing attacking me? I never test-- Did anything to you!” In response, rather than casting a spell as she thought he would, he charged, faster than she would have thought possible, and pinned her up against the wall.
Viola was silent, but not by choice. Her mouth was opened wide trying to say something, anything, to plead. With superhuman strength, he lifted her clear off the ground, her eyes rolled from side to side, clearly a scream for help trying unsuccessfully to escape. With her feet kicking the air, Viola pried at the shockingly powerful fingers around her neck. Her emerald green fingernails bent backwards and broke as she clawed in desperation at the iron-like fist.
He held Viola’s shoulders up against the unyielding stone wall, and slammed his fist into the girl’s gut. Viola started turning purple. He threw a fist into her tear streaked face. She not only felt, but heard a bone break. The insufferable pain came a second after wards. Through a haze, she saw an elbow whip around, and into her mouth, breaking the front teeth out. Her attacker’s back was to the fire, she still couldn’t see who was doing this to her, but she heard him growl as he smacked her three more times. With each blow, Viola’s head snapped back, her blond hair throwing back blood each time the back of her skull hit the stone wall. It was impossible, he was much too small to be this strong. She blacked out.
“It’s not going to be that easy, Bitch.” She was awake again. He wasn’t choking her anymore, but her windpipe was crushed. She was stuck to the wall with some sort of charm. Her arms were out to the sides, her legs straight. She could only watch in horror as he picked up her silver knife and made a slit in her stomach, underneath her navel. Not a long slit, not one that would kill. Just one big enough for his hand. “Are you ready?” She could feel him grinning at her, but all she could do watch.
Ripping agony went through her as he wormed his hand into the slit. She felt defiled. It was a tight fit, but he wriggled his hand, then his wrist, then his arm into her living body, farther and farther as she impotently tried to escape. It was all over, she knew it. They said that as you got closer to dying, you were supposed to go numb. They obviously had never died, she could feel absolutely everything. Her mind was so clear. It was a killer feeling. She could feel her wet warm insides compressed around his arm. He slithered his arm in deeper. His eyes were close to hers. They were distinctive eyes, not like hers. She knew who it was. Then she felt it. His hand on her living, beating heart. She had felt her heart, but never in this way before. It was sick. As he gazed deeply into her eyes, he squeezed with his powerful fingers. In a thick, warm, wet gush, she felt her heart burst. She thrashed in pure agony, bits of skin stretched away from the wall. He kept holding her heart as her wild movements became more sluggish, until with one last movement, her head flipped, down, blood dripped from her blonde hair.
Her brain still worked, even after her heart had stopped pumping, for a few seconds. In those seconds, she knew she was dead. Perfect clarity. For the first time.

Marcus was investigating all these sudden murders around the Hogwarts grounds and after he put all the clues together he came to a conclusion, after hours of searching up and down the school grounds Marcus finally found him. "It was you Xing, why did you do it, what could you possibly have to gain" sweat dripped down the side of Marcus's face from the suspense; he waited to hear Xing's reply to his accusation.

Xing turned around, his eyes glazed over. 'Let me out of here!' His mind screamed. He couldn't control his body, his consciousness was hiding in the corner, away from the monster that had taken over. He couldn't control any part of his body, except for his eyes, his tear ducts. Tear stains were visible on his ghostly face. New tears dripped down his face as he saw who was confronting him. He didn't want to see anyone else die. He had already seen enough. He had already seen his best friend killed by his own hands. He knew what was going to happen next. He didn't want to see another bloody murder, especially one that involved his friend as a victim.
He readied himself as much as he could, unable to close his eyes, waiting for his body to lunge at the defenseless Marcus. Neither of them had a wand in their hands, and it seemed to be the perfect time to attack.
But his body didn't move an inch, apart from the maniacal smile that filled his face. Suddenly, the smile disappeared, his face returning to a still state. The blur of his eyes slid away. Xing realised he had control over himself again. He blinked a few times, looking at Marcus. He felt light headed and it looked as if his vision was zooming in on the floor. No, that wasn't right. His head rushed down to meet the cold pavement, his mind shutting down. He reached unconsciousness.

Marcus watched in horror as the hideous creature released itself from Xing's body, and as Xing fell to the ground Marcus ran to him he understood what happened now. "Xing can you hear me" Marcus said once he reached Xing's unconscious body, realising his efforts were in vain he lifted him up with all his strength and carried him to the hospital wing, hoping he would wake up soon. Marcus couldn't imagine what he had gone through, unable to move his body, watching the horrid creature kill his friends and family, but no more.
