((OOC: Not the same day as our last posts. )) "I am the leader. You don't need to tell me what I have to do and what I don't. What exactly is your type though, since clearly my charming good looks, my sexy voice, and my mysterious disposition fail to ensnare you?""Oh, I dunno. Honesty, loyalty, bravery and trustworthiness are but a few of the traits and characteristics that I look for in a man. Sorry that the whole pompous, arrogant ass angle doesn't work with me. Also, it doesn't help when you insult me every chance you get," Rylee commented, stepping out of the library and into the corridors."What was it you just told me? That I was dull and slow-witted? And that I should move my 'burrowing ass' and follow you? Forgive me for not being swept off of my feet."

Alec rolled his eyes. "OK, fine, maybe we got on a bad foot, but you set yourself up for a lot of it. Don't deny that." He smirked as he rounded a corner with her. He guessed that it was now time appease her. Glancing over at her, he bit the inside of his cheek. He had to come up with a compliment now, he just didn't know what to say to her. It wasn't as if he went around daily giving off nice things to say to people. It wasn't his style. "I was just kidding though... You're actually not that bad of a plague. And--it's nice to be able to talk to someone..." He trailed off, clamping his mouth shut before making more of an idiot out of himself. What was he doing? He was losing control of the situation. Shaking his head a little, he stopped walking, grabbing the sleeve of her shirt to stop her as well. He let his grip linger for a bit before he dropped his hand, as well as his voice. "So you know some of my story...what's yours?"

"I was just kidding though... You're actually not that bad of a plague. And--it's nice to be able to talk to someone...So you know some of my story...what's yours?"
Rylee snorted, arching an eyebrow at him. "Not that bad of a plague? You're going to have to do a lot better than that. And as for knowing some of your story, I don't know any of your story. I know you like poetry and that you're afraid of people seeing through to the person you really are and that you're lonely. That's all I know."
Rolling her eyes and leaning against a wall, she examined the boy in front of her. He was a lot more open to this than she'd expected him to be, if she were being entirely honest with herself. He must be even more lonely than she'd thought. He was probably desperate for company, for someone who could understand him.
Well, Rylee didn't mind being that person. "But unlike you, I'm transparent and have no secrets, so I'll tell you about myself. My dad's a muggle. He's raised me most of my life. My mum was an Auror, and I looked up to her a lot, but she was killed when I was eight. I like laughing, joking, pranking and anything involving fun. I'm straight-forward and to the point and I want to be a spy." She neglected to comment about the nature of her mother's death because, quite frankly, she couldn't remember it. "Your turn."

Alec flinched at her casual declaration of him and rolled his eyes, tensing up. He felt himself withdraw into himself and huffed softly, not wanting to respond to that. Instead, he grudgingly listened to her tell her story and he looked down. He hadn't realized that something like that could be so tragic...then again, he wasn't much better off.
"Your turn."
He blinked, looking at her. He was taken aback by this, unsure of what to say at first. Now that the opportunity was presented to him, he wasn't sure he wanted to tell her his story. It'd made everyone else leave him, tell him he was overdramatic and stupid. He didn't want anyone else to do that to him. He couldn't take it anymore. He shrugged and looked away. "There's nothing to tell. I'm the only child to a rich pureblood family that moved here from the United States. That's pretty much it." He trailed off and shrugged again, sticking his hands deeper into his pockets. Slyly, he tried to change the subject on them. "So what were you doing in the library earlier?"

"Liar," she said in response to there being nothing to tell, but didn't follow up with much more than that, knowing that you had to practically rip anything personal out of a Slytherin. She was definitely going to let him think he was in control of this situation. In the long run, she would certainly see him hang himself and she'd find out everything. Still, she wasn't about to ignore a perfectly reasonable subject-change at the moment. "As for what I was doing in the library, I was looking for a Charms book. Lots of homework."
She tilted her head in curiosity before posing her next question, "Why Emily Dickinson? What makes her so special to you that you'd seek her out in the Hogwarts library? There are a million Pureblooded wizard poets. One would think that you'd be more interested in one of those, rather than a lowly muggle poet."

Alec looked down, scratching his right forearm with his left hand. He shrugged, looking away. There was a soft smile on his face. "I don't know really. I know that there are plenty, and I like some of them, like Burgundy Falls, but... Emily Dickinson is just so...she's so--it's even more honest, if you catch my drift. Something about just the way she expresses things...It's like reading pure, honest innocence. It's breath-taking. It's as if the more you read, the better about everything you feel. It's a way to escape into yourself, not have to worry about the shit and just relax, sink into poetry and imagery. Plus, I feel as if a lot of her poems speak to me." He ran a hand through his hair, smiling softly still till he remembered, then went right back to looking serious, hoping Rylee didn't catch that. "Er... And you--why Edgar Allan Poe?" Two could play at this game.

"I think that's the first honest thing you've ever said to me," Rylee said as if making a casual declaration, but she felt like her heart was soaring. She'd finally gotten an honest response out of him! Her inner-Rylee was dancing in victory, but she refused to let it show completely, instead smiling brightly at him as she continued speaking. "But as for why I like Edgar Allan Poe, it's just 'cause it sounds pretty, to be entirely honest."
Rylee shrugged. "You are really interesting. Did you know? Like, amazingly strange. I don't know why you're so interesting, but you are. Maybe it's 'cause of the fact that, even though you acted like you hated me, you're still talking to me. I think you want me to see past your armor. I think you need for me to understand you."

Maybe it's 'cause of the fact that, even though you acted like you hated me, you're still talking to me. I think you want me to see past your armor. I think you need for me to understand you."
Alec stiffened immediately, gulping. He looked away, jaw clenching and his hands balled up into fists. "I don't know just what you think this is, but I can assure you you're very mistaken." How the hell does she know all of this? Am I really that see-through? He sighed softly to himself. This charade was getting exhausting. What good was it if one person could see it. It was just one person right? Who cared what his mum and dad thought? It wasn't as if they could see anyways, right? He'd tell her--but he'd do it his way.
Alec turned on her quickly, thrusting his hand out and blocking her from moving. He looked down at her, his eyes flashing with fire and dropped his voice so only she could hear him. "Just what do you want from me? Do you want me to tell you that deep down I hate being a Slytherin, that I hate my family, and that I wish I could break away? Or perhaps you want to hear about how right you are about me, that I really am that see-through as you so claim I am?" He leaned in closely as he spoke, their faces only inches away. The closeness of this made his heartbeat pick up in pace and his cheeks flushed a slight pink but he made no effort to move away. "You want me to tell you that I do actually want a friend, someone to listen to me and talk to me so I don't have to be alone anymore?" He leaned in even farther, their lips just short of touching. "Because if it is, you'll need to find someone else for you."
With that, he pushed away from the wall, pushed away from her alluring eyes, scent, lips... Alec, Quit it. He smirked and took steps away from her, backwards, so he could still stare at her. He raised an eyebrow at Rylee, challenging, giving her a "Well, now it's your move" look. Something inside him told her that she could leave, that she'd never talk to him again because of this, and that part of hm ached, but he supressed it. He'd been emotionally alone for thirteen years. He could keep moving and he'd be fine.

Rylee's heart had found permanent residence somewhere in the middle of her throat, as Alec pressed himself closely to her and spoke, their lips just shy of touching. She fought with herself not to lean closer, told herself that she was just trying to unravel a mystery and he still wasn't her type, and that he likely never would be. And then he was gone, and she heaved a sigh of relief or disappointment, she wasn't sure which at that moment, but she wasn't going to give it much thought. She didn't keep herself cheerful by sitting in a dark room, thinking about her life or her emotions; no, that was a much more Slytherin thing to do.
"But you just did tell me those things, whether you want to own up to them or not," she said, feeling a soft smile turn up the corners of her lips. "The truth is all that I can hear, every time you lie."
And it was true, too. He thought she'd just turn away and forget that he had said those things, but she wouldn't. Whether he liked it or not, he was stuck with her. Especially when she was bored.

(OOC: wow i have been gone for a bit... sorry about that you guys)
Casteil snaked one hand around his lover and smiled snuggling close, "Yes I do believe the Library sounds wonderful. I know of this quiet little secluded spot in the very back corner that no one goes to, it is rather nice." His lips found their way towards Vince's neck and made a small trail on nips and kisses up to his ear where he promptly munched on the outer shell softly.

Vince smiled and settled himself Casteil's arms. Then the library is it then. Vince said as they walked down towards the library. Vince was really happy, that what he thought might have been a dream at first wasn't. He was really Casteil's boyfriend and Casteil was his.

Rose wait for Xing to walk next her. She held on tight to the books. She looked around it was really dark, she could only really see Xing hair, she wonder how they were going to walk all the back to the dorms like this. Then she remember... Her wand. She shifted the books onto one sides and pulled out her wand. Lumos She said as light lite there way. I hate the dark. Anything that's dark relate scares me. Rose warned him. Not ever may people knew that, but if he was going to walk in the dark it was only far to tell way she may randomly jump at something that probably isn't even harmful in the first place.

Xing stumbled in the dark to standing next to Rose. He slightly tripped on a pillar, stumbling a bit more. It was too dark, he couldn't see a thing. He heard Rose say "Lumos"
The light nearly blinded him, leaving him blinking a couple of times to adjust. The bright warm light glowed on the end of Rose's wand. He realised he was standing quite far away from her so he moved closer, but not too close.
They walked through the corridor. Xing didn't know what to say, so it was a bit awkward. He was afraid of getting caught after hours. He didn't want to be punished. He had never been punished before, but punishing sounded harsh. He has also never walked next to a girl before. Usually, they would inch away from him or just walk away altogether.
He didn't know what to do. Soon they would get to her dorm entrance and they would have to part ways. It was nice having someone to talk to. Having someone to open up to. It was comforting, knowing he didn't have to walk alone anymore.

She knew that if a teacher were to find them right now they would beyond busted, not only are they up after hour but one boy and one girl did not look good together. Rose did mind getting trouble for things she did do but she didn't like getting in trouble for things she didn't do. She enjoy Xing company he wasn't rude or pushy like some of the people coming here. He was shy, but that wasn't something that should be held against him, she was shy as well. They walked down the halls Rose looking over her shoulder ever once in while to make sure no one was following. She hated the dark she always felt like something bad was going to happen in the dark. Rose looked over at Xing, he didn't seem to mind the dark that much. So, uh, wanna meet up somewhere tomorrow. So we can hang out or something? She asked nervous. With Addison they just meet up or happen to run into each other in the common room, but was in a different house and wasn't sure if she would run into him. She like being friendly around him and didn't have to worry about him taking it the wrong way.

"But you just did tell me those things, whether you want to own up to them or not. The truth is all that I can hear, every time you lie."
Alec looked down at the ground, rolling his eyes. He smiled regardless though. This girl was starting to grow on him, a lot. The fact that she hadn't left him so far was a good sign, right? It had to be. Everyone else had already, or so it seemed. He rubbed the back of his head and looked around at all of the other students. He glared, irritated by the sudden swarm then turned on his heel gracefully, choosing to ignore her comment. "Wanna go somewhere less crowded? We might be able get more done." He shrugged it off as if it was nothing, but deep down, he hoped she said yes. He wanted to get to know her better, and vice versa. He craved it.
